Challenge

Back in 2018, Siemens faced a fragmented and complex travel landscape — with varying tools, providers, and booking behaviors across markets. As a global organization, they needed full autonomy over their booking systems, improved governance of travel spend, and a unified approach that could support strategic goals like cost savings, traveler satisfaction, and emissions reduction. The lack of centralized control made it difficult to standardize processes, measure results, or act quickly on data.

Solution

To overcome these challenges, Siemens selected HRS as its global hotel partner. This enabled the rollout of one consolidated hotel program, supported by global contracts and full regional coverage. Leveraging HRS tools like Copilot and Green Stay, Siemens gained control over spend visibility, enhanced its negotiation power through bundling, and prioritized sustainability through ESG-certified hotel selection. Combined with SAP Concur integration, the travel program is now streamlined, measurable, and aligned with Siemens’ broader digital and environmental goals.
