In 2015, the HRS team began working with Google to collate and analyze the company’s worldwide hotel spend. With that math as a starting point, HRS leveraged its local sourcing expertise and rate database to deliver more competitive rates and a revamped hotel strategy in all relevant Google global destinations.
Ambitious savings targets, lower market transparency and time-consuming rate negotiations - those were the central challenges that Siemens and HRS tackled together in the region South West Europe. Owing to the centralisation of the hotel procurement and the connection of local and global expertise, targets were reached, processes were optimised and workload was relieved from the company by taking over the operative hotel procurement.
Together with HRS, the Dürr AG creates a customised international hotel programme. A consistent booking tool makes the company's bookings more transparent. The centralisation of the hotel procurement alone enabled the Dürr AG to lower both their process costs and the error rate: as hotels do now enter their offers directly into the HRS tool, they are no longer sent to different recipients, which leads to a better overview.
Creating a global hotel sourcing program to match the hotel needs of 60,000 employees in 70 countries is a formidable challenge. To meet its ambitious requirements, a major multinational technology company based in the U.S. decided to optimise its hotel procurement with HRS.
